Translucent dark cherry red in the glass. The nose bursts with wild red berries, candied raspberry, floral fynbos, and a hint of iron and black pepper. The palate is fresh and lively, with juicy red fruit and gritty tannins that give grip and structure, finishing vibrant and alive.
Bok Amok Organic Bush Vine Grenache 2023 Case of 6 captures the untamed spirit of the Swartland. Inspired by the lively Duiker antelope that roam the vineyards, this wine shows both energy and character in every bottle.
The fruit comes from dryland bush vines planted in 2006 on weathered granite soils. Low yields bring concentration and intensity, while the hardy vines shape the wine’s distinctive personality. The cellar team harvests the grapes early, then destems and crushes them before a cool, extended soak to build flavour. Wild fermentation follows, with regular punch-downs to extract colour and structure. The wine then rests in older French oak barrels for 10 months, keeping the style pure and expressive.
