The blend combines Shiraz from Paarl and Darling with Cabernet Sauvignon from Stellenbosch. Each vineyard adds its own charm Darling brings freshness and spice, Paarl contributes richness and body, while Stellenbosch offers structure and elegance. Because the season was mild, the grapes ripened slowly, developing vibrant flavour and perfect balance.
In the cellar, every decision aimed to preserve purity and depth. The winemaking team handpicked and sorted the grapes, ensuring that only the finest fruit was used. Natural fermentation followed in open French oak foudres, allowing the fruit to express itself fully. During fermentation, gentle punch-downs encouraged smooth colour and flavour extraction. After pressing, the wine spent 19 months in French oak barrels a mix of new, second, and third fill. As a result, the final blend achieved harmony and refinement. Only ten barrels showed the exact character desired for this release.
