Fairview Back’s Blend White 2024 is a fresh, fruity Cape White Blend with tropical fruit, stone fruit and zesty acidity. Bright, easy-drinking and beautifully balanced.
Pairs beautifully with Southeast Asian dishes, sweet-and-sour flavours, pork with caramelised apples, seafood, pasta, risotto or anything topped with Fairview goat’s cheese.
Pale straw colour in the glass. The wine shows tropical fruit, stone fruit and subtle floral notes on the nose. The palate is medium bodied with yellow-fruited sweetness and a fresh, zesty acidity. Overdelivering on quality. Best enjoyed in the next year or two.
The Fairview Back’s Blend White 2024 brings together Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc and Viognier from Darling and Paarl. The Darling vineyards sit 300 metres above sea level on west-facing hills with decomposed granite soils, producing lively and fruit-driven wines. The Viognier component comes from Paarl’s granite soils, adding richness and aromatic depth. These coastal sites show why Fairview remains one of the most loved wine farms South Africa.
The grapes were picked very early and delivered cold to the cellar. After gentle destemming and pressing, the free-run juice settled for two days. Fermentation took place in stainless steel for a clean, crisp profile, while a touch of oaked Chenin added texture and roundness. The wine spent six months on fine lees before blending, giving the palate its silky feel and fresh finish.
Back’s Blend White 2024 is bright, fruity and refreshing. Tropical fruit, stone fruit and soft floral notes lead the nose. The palate shows sweet yellow fruit and lively acidity, creating a vibrant, easy-drinking style perfect for summer sipping, relaxed wine tasting Paarl, or pairing with Fairview wine and cheese. It also fits seamlessly into cheese and wine tasting boards, especially those featuring cape cheese products from the Fairview Deli.
A nice quaffable white
