Pale straw in colour. Aromas of pineapple, honeysuckle, stone fruit, and wet river stones rise from the glass. The palate shows yellow plum, gentle leesy richness, mineral freshness, and a touch of creaminess, finishing balanced and refined.
Fairview OVP Steen 2024 celebrates the character of old vine Chenin Blanc, also known as Steen. Fruit comes from heritage bush vines planted in 1962 and 1974, bringing natural concentration, balance, and complexity to the wine.
The cellar team hand-picks the grapes early and whole bunch presses them. Fermentation takes place in amphora, older French oak barrels, and stainless steel tanks. The wine then spends 10 months on the lees before blending, adding texture and layered depth.
Rich in flavour yet fresh in style, this Chenin Blanc pairs beautifully with seafood, pork, pasta, risotto, or goat’s cheese. It is a distinctive wine that rewards every glass.
