Deep, dark red in the glass. Aromas of sweet black cherries, dark plums and a hint of mixed spice. The palate shows spiced plums and red raspberries with typically firm tannins. Will age well for 5–8 years.

The Fairview Tannat 2024 comes from a trellised block planted in 2004 on Koffieklip soils. This site lies on the lower slopes of the Fairview farm, where warm days and careful canopy work keep the vines balanced.
The team harvested the grapes on 6 March. They destemmed, crushed and fermented the fruit in stainless-steel tanks. Pump-overs happened three times a day to build colour and tannin. After fermentation, the wine spent extended time on the skins for extra depth. It then moved to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 16 months of ageing.
Tannat 2024 is bold and expressive. Sweet black cherries, dark plums and red raspberries lead the palate, with spice in the background. Firm tannins shape the finish and give the wine strong ageing potential. It’s a powerful, character-filled addition to the Fairview wines range and a proud example of South African red wine from top wine farms South Africa.
