Tasting Notes

Bright and inviting in the glass, this wine opens with aromas of passion fruit, gooseberry and lemon sorbet, alongside hints of ripe tropical fruit. The palate is crisp and refreshing, filled with juicy tropical flavours and lively citrus notes. Bright acidity carries the wine through to a long, fresh finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. It is at its best within one to two years of the vintage.

More details

Goats do Roam has always been about bringing different vineyards together, and the 2026 Sauvignon Blanc continues that tradition. Sauvignon Blanc from the cool, maritime vineyards of Darling adds freshness and elegance, while Paarl fruit contributes generous tropical flavours. A touch of Semillon rounds out the palate with a subtle creamy texture.

The grapes are picked in the cool of the early morning before they are gently pressed using only the free-run juice. Each vineyard parcel is handled separately so its character can shine through. The Sauvignon Blanc ferments in stainless steel tanks, while the Semillon sees subtle French oak. The wines then spend four months on their lees before the final blend comes together.
