The Grenache Noir Mix Case celebrates two unique expressions of South African Grenache Noir. It offers six bottles three from Fairview wine farm in Paarl and three from the wild Swartland. Together, they showcase how soil, climate, and craftsmanship shape this beloved grape in very different ways.
The first wine, Fairview Stok by Paaltjie Grenache Noir 2023, comes from terraced Paarl vineyards on the slopes of Fairview. Here, each vine grows freely on its own post among Cape fynbos and ancient shale soils. Because the vines are low yielding, the fruit develops intensity and freshness. Hand harvesting and gentle fermentation preserve these qualities beautifully. The result is an elegant, fynbos-scented Grenache with bright red fruit, delicate spice, and a smooth, savoury finish.
In contrast, the Bok Amok Organic Bush Vine Grenache 2023 reflects the wilder side of the grape. Grown in weathered granite soils of the Swartland, the vines are dryland farmed and fully organic. This careful approach produces small, concentrated berries full of flavour. The winemakers use natural fermentation and old oak barrels to keep the wine pure and unfiltered. As a result, it bursts with red berries, floral notes, and a raw, earthy energy.
Enjoy the Grenache Noir Mix Case for its balance of elegance and character. Each bottle tells a different story, yet both reflect the same passion for quality winemaking in South Africa.
