La Capra Merlot 2023 comes from trellised vineyards in Stellenbosch and Darling. These sites deliver fruit with bright, generous character. The team harvests the grapes early in the morning and ferments them in stainless steel tanks for 10 days. After fermentation, the wine spends 12 months in 2nd and 3rd fill French and American oak barrels, which add gentle spice and texture.
The wine shows dark purple plums, red berries and a light touch of spice on the nose. The palate brings juicy red fruit, soft oak and a smooth, rounded feel that defines the La Capra style. It fits naturally into relaxed meals, everyday enjoyment or a simple cheese and wine tasting at home.
