Local crowd-favourite Merlot boasts a ruby red colour in the glass with classic aromas of dark purple plums, red berries and a touch of spice. Juicy red fruit flavours on the palate with soft, subtle oak and rounded texture.

The grapes used in the La Capra Merlot were harvested early in the morning and fermented in tank for 10 days. After fermentation, the wine was transferred to 2nd and 3rd fill French and American oak barrels where it was matured for 9 months before bottling.
