Three vineyards, three expressions and one variety at the heart of the Single Vineyard Shiraz Mixed Case. This six-bottle collection explores the influence of site through wines from Paarl, Darling and Swartland.
Fairview Eenzaamheid Shiraz 2022 comes from unirrigated vines rooted in deep shale soils in Paarl. It offers red plum, wild berries, gentle cardamom and black pepper. On the palate, red fruit meets fynbos, fresh acidity and grippy tannins.
Meanwhile, Fairview Lanner Hill Syrah 2022 shows the cooler side of the variety. The Darling vineyard sits close to the West Coast and benefits from cooling afternoon conditions. Bright red cherry, Cape fynbos and black pepper lead into fresh red fruit and wild rosemary. Fine, powdery tannins complete its elegant style.
Finally, Fairview The Beacon Shiraz 2023 brings the depth of Swartland dryland bush vines. Dark berries, black plum and liquorice meet warm spice and subtle fynbos. The palate adds rich dark fruit and a salty olive tapenade character. Firm, powdery tannins give the wine structure and ageing potential.
