The wine opens with fresh, crunchy red fruit and lifted aromatics. Grenache adds juicy sweetness, Shiraz brings warm spice and Cinsault offers a soft floral lift. The palate is vibrant, refined and beautifully balanced, finishing with clean, bright fruit.
Spice Route Limited Edition Red Blend 2022 celebrates the adventurous spirit behind Spice Route wines. The fruit comes mainly from Paarl and the Swartland, where decomposed granite soils shape a bright, expressive Coastal red blend. Some Grenache and Cinsault grow as bush vines, while the rest of the vineyards are trellised. This mix gives the wine freshness, structure and lively fruit.
Each component fermented in stainless steel with regular pump-overs to build colour and flavour. The team blended the wine soon after fermentation in May 2022. They then aged it in stainless steel to keep the style clean, fresh and fruit-forward.
Grenache leads with juicy red fruit. Shiraz adds warm spice. Cinsault brings a gentle floral lift. Together they create a balanced, elegant and easy-drinking South African red wine with crunchy fruit and subtle perfume.
