Spice Route Mourvèdre 2023 comes from unirrigated bush vines planted in 2001 and rooted in Koffieklip and Oakleaf soils. These organically farmed vineyards produce fruit with concentration, freshness, and strong varietal character.
The cellar team hand-harvests the grapes, lightly crushes them, and ferments them in open concrete fermenters with regular manual punch-downs. After seven days on the skins, the wine is pressed and transferred to seasoned French and American oak barrels.
The result is a fresh, spicy, and structured red wine with plenty of personality. Enjoy it now with hearty meals or cellar it for further development.
