The grapes were naturally fermented in our open-top concrete “kuipe” and were punched down twice a day during fermentation. Partial whole bunch fermentation has made for an expressive burst of freshness in the final wine. After fermentation, the juice was transferred to seasoned French oak barrels and left to mature for around a year. Very light filtration prior to bottling.

These dryland bush vines were planted in 2001 and lie in a mixture of koffieklip and oak leaf soils. The yield is around 4.6 ton/hect. The block is within eyeshot of our Amos Sauvignon Blanc vineyard. A really dry and rugged area of the farm, perfect for bush vines!
